Archery gear used in living history events

A: Persimmon wood bow, 53" nock to nock, 58# @ 23" draw.  Handle wrapped in full grain deer hide, laced with waxed/rolled hide strip. Originally based on bows in various museums and Allely & Hamm. Shortened 4" due to breakage of one tip; shoots better now.

B: Cane and shoot shaft arrows, turkey wing three-fletched arrows, bone, stone and steel trade point heads.  24" long. See Allely and Hamm, Swanton, Hudson, etc. for documentation.

C: Simple quiver, laced with strip of hide, oiled heavily and top lined with "wolf" (coyote) fur. Self leather strap.  Little documentation of 18th century southern quivers exists, though see Allely & Hamm for a few examples.  There are some in museums.
